It has particularly good transmission of visible light, ultraviolet light, infrared light and gas barrier performance, chemical stability is second only to PTFE. At high temperatures (140°C) it is not resistant to chlorosulphonic acid, caustic soda, newborn element fluorine and high concentrations of fuming sulphuric acid. Soluble in benzene, toluene, paraxylene, carbon tetrachloride, cyclohexanone, cyclohexane and other solvents at high temperatures. Good adhesion to metals and good dimensional stability. Very low water absorption, good mechanical and electrical insulation properties, good creep resistance.
